The pOpmètre® : a Class IIa medical device for measuring pulse wave velocity, the Gold Standard in arterial stiffness measurement. Non-invasive and non-operator-dependent, it enables you to take a measurement without occlusion or cuff.

Operation
The device is connected to the patient by two photodiode sensors (PPG photoplethysmography). The main function of the pOpmètre® is to determine the time between the pulse wave at the finger and the pulse wave at the toe. The pOpmètre® also measures PWV, calculates the patient's vascular age and is equipped with a signal acquisition and processing system, as well as data visualization and recording software.

Clinical case
Ischemic stroke, no hypertension, diabetes or cholesterol. Investigated after rigorous medical evaluation, including one-week ECG Holter and endoesophageal PWV of 20 m/s (equivalent to vascular age of 100 years).
